NRC Inspection of Building 305, Camp Parks This letter refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Mr. Wm. Grayson and Ms. B. Riedlinger of this office on February 2,1981 at Building 305, Camp Parks where materials have been used under NRC licenses SNM-1471 and 04-00650-07.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this inspection.
This inspection consisted of a confirmatory radiological survey performed rehtive to the decontamination of the Camp Parks Facility for release for unrestricted use. This is the second such survey to be performed by Region V personnel. The first survey was conducted by Mr. P. Zurakowski and Ms. B. Riedlinger on November 13, 1980. The results of the first survey are documented in Report 80-01, which was forwarded to you with a letter dated January 20, 1981. The areas examined and the results of the February 2,1981 survey are described in the enclosed inspection report.
Based upon the results of this survey, it was determined that additional decontamination would be required in some areas on the interior of Building 305.
It is requested that the results of your followup survey be submitted to the NRC Region V office for evaluation.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
If this report contains any information that you believe to be proprietary, it is necessary that you submit a written application to this office, within 20 days of the date of this letter, requesting 8104070iB9o m
Regents of the University of California pgg 2 41981 that such information be withheld from public disclosure. The applica-tion must include a full statement of the reasons why it is claimed that the information is proprietary. The application should be prepared so that any proprietary infonnation identified is contained in an enclosure to the application, since the application without the enclosure will also be placed in the Public Document Room.
If we do not hear from you in this regard wtthin the sper.ified period, the report will be placed in the Public Document Room.
