Dear iir. Aiiearne:

I am writing to express my opposition to each of the three following issues:

1.

The proposal to reopen the Three Mile Island Reactor #1.

The pecole of the Three Mile Island area have suffered and are suffering enougn due to stress and anxiety.

Reapening the reactor would only add more stress.

2.

The proposal to use radioactive scrap from uranium enrienment plants in steel mills in place of conventional scrap metal. This practice would endanger the health of the workers.

In addition we do not know enough about the effects of low level radiation to risk added radioactivity in such consumer products as cars, stoves, refrigerators, toys, etc.

~

3.

The proposal to spread the cost of the Three Mile Island accident nationwide by increased utility rates all over the country.

This is a cost which should be corne by tnose responsible for the accident.

It is unfair to ask people who in no way have benefited.from the power generated by this plant to bear costs related to it.
