Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
.In accordance with Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company's Technical Specifications, Section "5.7.2 b", titled Unusual Events, Connecticut Yankee is reporting the following event.
During the 1975 June refueling outage 3 feedwater hanger pipe attac!.ments were discovered broken on the piping inside of the containment. One hanger was located on #3 steam generator piping and the two others were on the #4 steam generator piping.
Feedwater system piping analysis performed by Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation did not indicate any overstressing of the piping system has occurred during past plant operation.
The damaged hanger attachmeats were replaced and the entire feed water system hanger attachments were visually inspected and fnund to be acc_ptable.
