Dear Mr. Keppler:

By letter dated May 27, 1975, Consumers Power Company responded to IE Bulletins 75-04 and 75-OhA for the Big Rock Point and Palisades Plants.

Two responses were inco=plete. The purpose of this letter is to update these responses.

Approximately 50% of the deficient floor and vall penetration seals has been corrected at Palisades at this writing. More caterials vere required than were originally esticated. These materials are on order and the remainder of the seals vill be completed by July 31, 1975 At Big Rock Point, two proposals are be.ing evaluated for the installation of floor and vall penetration seals for cable penetrations through the floor of the control room and the vall between the air com-pressor room and cable penetration. At present, no schedule is available for thio installation.

l The review of fire prevention n'nd fire suppression equipment has i

been completed for the Palisades Plant. The reco:cendations of the re-viewer are bein6 evaluated for possible procure =ent of equipment.

f At Big Rock Point, we are investigating the possibility of l

installing smoke detectors and water spray equip =ent in the cable pene-l tration room outside of contain=ent. Because of the preliminary nature l

of this investigation, a schedule has not yet been established.

l We vill provide a further response regarding these two items within thirty days.

Yours very truly,

,n
