o January 21, 1976 Mr J. G. Keppler US Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 DOCKET 50-155, LICENSE DPR BIG ROCK POINT PLANT By telephcne on December 5, 1975 Consumers Power Company reported an event which was classified as AO-1-76.
This event was subsequently confirmed by telegram dated January 6, 1976.
At the time this report was initiated, new reporting requirement Technical Specifications had been issued by the NRC but not yet received by the plant staff. These new Technical Specifications do not require reporting of an event of the type that was initially classified as A0-1-76.
The old Technical Speci-fications required reporting of this type of event.
In an effort to achieve a consistent basis for reporting throughout 1976 and because this event is not required to be reported under the new Technical Speci-fications, we nov do not consider this event reportable and are, therefore, can-celing the previously assigned repertable classification.
