NRC IE BULLETIN NO. 80-21 NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS SALEM GENERATING STATION In response to your letter of November 6, 1980, transmitting NRC IE Bulletin 80-21, which was received.on November 13, 1980, the following response is hereby submitted for your review.
We have examined our records for all valve suppliers who could have supplied valves in safety related systems at Salem Gener-ating Station.
The only valve supplier who did any business with Malcolm Foundry of Newark,-New Jersey, was Anchor Darling,

who had materials cast during a period from late 1974'until early 1975.
All Anchor Darling valves were received at Salem' prior to 1974; therefore, we have no Anchor Darling yokes manufactured by Malcolm' Foundry at Salem Generating Station.
All our conversations with valve manufacturers to check their I
foundry suppliers were-made-through the valve manufacturer's Manager of Quality Assurance or his assistant.
