Dear Mr. MacDonald:

The above referenced permit presently approves the shipping of uranium dioxide powder with a maximur.

bulk density of 2.3 grams /cc.

We have been requested by one of our overseas customers to have this permit extended to also include uranium oxide in the form of U308 with a maximum bulk density of 2.3 grams /cc.

It is our understanding, based on conversations with your staff, that such extension appears feasible.

We, therefore, request that Certificate USA /6458/AF be extended to include U 08 3
