We are requesting an amendment to our License Number SNM-362 to permit us to use up to one milligram of plutonium and up to one gram of uranium-235

in the mass spectrometer complex in Building 221. The operations would*

.;i involve simple chemical operations, e.g., fixing the radioactive materials to filaments and usi.ng the filaments in mass spectrometric analysis. All operations would be conducted in accordance with procedures described in our license application dated December 18, 1975.
