'9 Appendix A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Wisconsin Electric Power Company Docket No. 50-266 Docket No. 50-301 Based on the Health Physics Appraisal conducted September 8-19, 1980, it appears that certain of your activities were in noncompliance with NRC requirements, as noted below.
Items 1 and 2 are infractions.
1.
10 CFR 20.101 limits whole body radiation dose to 18-year-olds to 1.25 rem per calendar quarter.
Contrary to the above, one 18 year-old in 1975 and one in 1979 received whole body doses exceeding 1.25 rem in a calendar quarter.
2.
10 CFR 71.3 requires either a license or an exemption for shipments of Type B quantities of radioactive material.
Contrary to the above, on June 10 and 13, 1980, Type B quantities of normal form radioactive material were shipped in Model No. AL-33-90 packaging without either a license for such shipments or an exemption from Part 71 requirements.
