We received your letters of October 28 and November 3,1980 for an ameneent to License SNM-1227 concerning the laundry facility and reduction in plutonufm inventory.

Your request has been classified by the Safeguards Licensing staff as requiring a minor amendment to your license. Therefore, a minor safe-guards amendment fee of $3,500 is required, as specified in fee Category IB of Section 170.31 of Part 170, copy enclosed.

Payment should be made to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and mailed to my attention.

Please note Footnotes 1(d) and 4 of Section 170.31, which provide that upon completion of the licensing review, the Commission will review its expenditures for professional manpower and appropriate support services; recompute the amendment fee, and, if necessary, make any refunds.
