Arkansas Nuclear One - Units 1 & 2 Cccket Nos. 50-313 and 50-368 License Nos. OPR-51 and NPF-6 IE Bulletin 80-15 (Fi1e: 1510.1, 2-1510.1)

Gentlemen:

The following information is provided in resconse to IE Bulletin 80-15.

Each response is numbered in accordance with the bulletin cuestions.

1.

In comoliance to your request, after receiving and reviewir.g the subject Bulletin, an inspection was made on June 27, 1980, to verify that our Emergency Notification System is powered using on-site power as described in the two enclosures of this I-E Bulletin.

2.

Our ENS station packages are fed by an inverter which is backed up by a battery bank and a diesel generator.

3.

A test was conducted to verify that all extensions of the ENS located at our facility remained fully coerable from the facility to the NRC Operations Center upon a loss of off-site scwer to our facility.

This was accomplished by removing all A.C. oower to the inverter.

Our Emergency Notification System is connected to an inverter which is backed up by automatic transfer to a battery and a diesel generator.

Therefore, a cuenty-four (24) hour notification to the NRC Operations Center was not required.

5.

The Operations Department at ANO nus precared and issued a standing order #46, Rev.1, wnich requires notification to the NRC Operations Center within one hour of the time that one or more extensions of our ENS located at our facility is (are) found to be inoperable.

As requested by the cover letter to the subject Bulletin, approximately taenty (20) manhours were expended to review, inspect and orecare this response.

Previous submittal of this information was made to you on September 3, 1

1980, in letter numbers 1-090-02 and 2-090-02.

This response is being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(f).
