O 7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-334 DUQUESNE LIGHT COMPANY 44IO EDISON COMPANY PENNSYLVANIA POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMEN 0 MENT TO FACILITY OPEP4 TING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccmmission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 35 to Facility Operating License No. DDR-66 issued to Duquesne Light Company, Ohio Ediser Company, and Pennsylvania Power Ccmpany (the licensees), which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 (:ne facility) located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendment revises the Technical Specifications related to cperation and surveillance of control rod indicator channels.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atemic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amend.nent. Prior public notice Of this amendment was not required since this amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

7590-01 The Commission has determined that the issuance of this amendmcnt will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR s51.5(d)(a) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact aporaisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
