Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Commission) has issued Amendments hos. 48 and 18 tc Facility Operating Licenses Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6, issued to Arkansas Power & Light Company (the licensee), which revist_

the licenses for operation of the Arkansas Nuclear One, Units Nos. I and 2 (the f acility), located in Pope County, Arkansas.

The amendments are effective as of the date of issuance and are to be fully implemented within 30 days of Comission approval in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.40(b).

The amendments add license conditions to include the Comission-approved Safeguards Contingency Plan as part of the licenses.

The licensee's filings corgly with the standards and requirements of the Atomic EnerCy Act c# 1954, as a. ended (the Act), and the Cccission's rules and regulations. The 'omissicn has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commissicn's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments.

Prior public notice of these amendments was not required since the amendments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.

Tne Comission has determined that the issuance of these amendments will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR @51.5(d)(4) an environmer'al impact statement or negative declaration and envircnmer.tal impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of the amendments.

___o 2-7590-01 The licensee's filing dated February 26, 1930, as revised April 30, 1980, is being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(d). The withheld information is subject to disclosure in accocdance with the provisions of 10 CFR 59.12.
