Dear Mr. Grier:
The FitzPatrick Plant staff submits as Enclosure 1, infor-mation requested by paragraph 2.b. of the subject Bulletin.
In addition to the information contained in the enclosure, the status of the re-evaluation of masonry walls and schedule for completion of the re-evaluation is provided below.
The Power Authority and its architect-engineer staffs have identified 86 wall sections requiring re-evaluation because they either support safety-related equipment or piping or are in proximity to safety-related equipment. To date, approximately 22% of the wall sections have been analyzed and have passed the design (acceptance) criteria established for re-evaluation.
Re-evaluation of an additional 50% of the wall sections is in progress. The re-evaluation has not considered local stresses with respect to the mechanism for load transfer or the potential for block pull-out at this point in the re-evaluation prgram. gdditional re-evaluation which considers the potential for rN CN 3
