g In regards to your letter FCTC: RHO 71-0395 of 19 Septe:::ber 1980, the f611owing changes to the Description of 10 CFR Part 71, Quality Assurance Progra6-for Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators, July 1980, by the Naval Energy'and Environmental Support Activity have been made:
1.
The first sentence of paragraph 8 has been revised to read "... audits, personnel training and qualifications, RTG shipments, and compliance inspections will be maintained."
2.
The following sentence has been added at the end of paragraph 8.
"A listing of the QA records and the storage location will be available."
3.
A block for the RTG Custodian with a dotted line to the Director of the Radiological Affairs Support Office has been added to Appendix B, page 1 of 2.
4.
The following responsibility has been added to Appendix B, paragraph 2.d
"(4) Conducting and maintaining records of required inspections and tests."
A copy of the revised Quality Assurance Program Description is provided as enclosure (1).
