RESPONSE

Our complete response to your letter dated July 24, 1980, which transmitted IE Bulletin 80-18 on Adequate Minimum Flow Through Centrifugal Charging Pumps was submitted on October 16, 1980. A partial response to the bulletin was submitted on September 22, 1980.

The modifications described in our response to the bulletin have been determined to constitute an unreviewed safety question (USQ) in accordance with 10 CFR 50.59. At this time, we are pursuing resolution of the USQ with NRC-NRR and will keep you informed of the resolution of this issue.
