On November 13, 1980, a site visit to NA-1 was conducted by R. Clark (Chief)
L. Engle (Project Manager) and P.-Kreutzer (Licensing Assistant) rf the Operating Reactors Branch #3, Division of Licensing.
The purpose of the site visit was: (l) to inspect the Local Public Document Room (LPDR) located in the Louisa County Courthouse, Louisa, Virginia, (2) a joint meeting with the Virginia Electric and Power Company (tne licensee) and the NRC representatives listed above, and (3) a tour of specific creas at the NA-1 facility.
Items 1, 2 and 3 are described belew:
(1) A tour of the LPDR indicated that documented material was filed in an orderly, neat manner and included recent licensing actions.
Tiny Manrique employed by the Louisa County Board of Supervisors and responsible for maintaining the LPDR stated that the LPDR had been used by the public only several times in the past year.
(2) A reeting was held with the licensee (plant supervisory and corporate licensir.; management) and the NRC (licensing and resident inspector) to discuss, update and provide continuity on active ongoing actions as.specified in the NRC Technical Assignment Control System Status Report fer NA-1.
A list of attendees is attached.
(3) Mr. R. Cartwright (Station Manager) escorted the NRC members on a plant tour of the NA-1 facility.
Included in the tour was a briefing regarding the recent implementation of NRC Human Factors Modifications for the NA-1 & 2 Control Room and a tour of the auxiliary feedwater system including the motor-driven pump area and the turbine driven pump area.
By this memorandum, TAC #43177, "NA-1 Site Visit (11-13-80) NRC & VEPCO Update on Active Items," is completed.
