Dear Dr. Snyder,

As a concerned citizen, I would like to take this opportunity to give you my opinion about the situation at Three Mile Island.

You can tell by my address that I live not too far from there and my married daughter and husband live even closer in the Harrisburg area.

They now have their house up for sale and have already put a deposit on a house some distance away from their present location.

Their reason for moving is that they are sick of the way things at TMI have been going.

We are all sick of 'who knows what all has been emitted in the last several years' and what all has been going into the Susquehanna River.'

I would really like to know why Pennsylvania has the most nuclear plants in the United States especially since Pennsyl-vania is one of the most prolific coal-producing states.

Why can't the present nuclear pcwer plan ts be converted to ones using coal making sure scrubbers are also installed in l

order to prevent acid rain?

Why should valuable Pennsylvania coal be exported to other countries when there is plenty of use for it in Pannsylvania.

I am sure the money could be found for these conversions if the much talked about waste of tax-payers taxes could be put to this use.

Sincerely, Dolores L. Aulthouse (Mrs. Harry D.)
