Dear Mr. Ahearne:
Three Mile Island Unit 1 meets all the standards of dozens of other reactors now licensed by NRC and operating safely throughout this country.
In light of this, how can you possibly justify your continued reluctance to permit this plant to return on line? Your position is so inconsistent that it borders on superstition. We need nuclear power, we need TMI-l en line, and we need an NRC that has the courage of its convictions.
