On July 31, 1980 the Texas Border Cooperatives,/

filed with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission a petition for leave to intervene in the above-consolidated pro-

ceedings.
In support of the intervention, the Texas Border Cooperatives cited, inter alia, their belief that the construction of direct current ("dc") inter-tie-between the Southwest Power Pool ("SWPP") and the Energy Reliability Council of Texas ("ERCOT") served to limit their competitive opportunities to develop as I

Subsequently, on October 1, 1980 the Texas Border Cooperatives reported to the Board that negotiations with Central and. Southwest Corporation ("CS&W") had indicated that it might be possible to develop enhanced opportunities within-Texas which would permit the Texas Border Cooperatives to withdraw their objections to the proposed de ties.
The Texas Border Cooperatives are now able to report that such an agreement has been reached and therefore they respectfully request leave to withdraw their petition for leave to intervene.
WHEREFORE, for the foregiong reasons the Texas Border Cooperatives respectfully request leave to withdraw their Petition for Leave.to Intervene in the above-referenced proceeding.
