' Docket No. 99900510/80-02 NOTICE OF DEVIATION Based on 'the results of an NRC inspection conducted on August 25-29,1980, it
' appears that-certain of your activities were not conducted'in accordance with NRC-requirements.
Criterion V of' Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 states:
" Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instruc-tions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be accomplished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or drawings shall include appro-priate quantitative or qualitative acceptance criteria for determining that important' activities have been satisfactorily acccmplished."
Deviations from these requirements are as follows:
Paragraph IV. A. 4 of Quality-Assurance Procedure QA-6 (Document Control) states in part that, " Revision to specifications will be reviewed in the same manner as the original document in accordance with Quality Assurance Procedure QA-3 and Project Procedure No. PP5.
Identification of the latest applicable revisions is maintained on the Engineering Purchasing Schedule (EPS). This schedule is updated and issued monthly by Project Engineering to provide a means of determining the latest revision."
Contrary to the above, five specifications were noted on the EPS dated July 25, 1980, that did not identify the latest applicable revision.
The specifications were 9779-154, -137, -53, -87, and -148.
