Gentlemen:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1 Revised Small Break LOCA Model The TMI Action Plan, as updated by Re,ference (1), required licensees to outline the scope and schedule for developing revised small break Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA) models to demonstrate compliance with 10CFR50, Appendix K.
The implementation schedule forwarded via Ref erence (1) requires the Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) endors and/or fuel suppliers to submit justification for present models or revised analysis models for Staf f review by January 1,1982.
Plant-specific analyses utilizing the revised models are to be completed by January 1, 1983.
Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO), on behalf of Millstone Unit No.1, has determined that this TMI Action Plan item would most appropriately be handled through General Electric Company, the NSSS and fuel vendor for Millstone Unit No. 1.
Accordingly, all Staff inquiries regarding the scope and schedule for this requirement should be directed to General Electric.
NNECO has been informed by General Electric that they will be prepared to discuss their approach by December 15, 1980, p
