Dear Mr. Reid:
This responds to your letter of September 24, 1980 (Log No. 610) dealing with the development and installation of an instrumentation system to detect inadequate core cooling at the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unic 1.
Toledo Edison provided its discussion in our September 8,1980 letter (Serial No. 648) identifying that currently acceptable instrumentation is installed to provide adequate operator information. Further discussion of this issue will be made in response to Section II.F.2 of NUREG 0737, "Clar d 'ication of TMI Action Plan Requirements," scheduled for submittal January 1, 1981.
