Gentlemen: We have been investigating inventory differences that have occurred at the Babcock 5 Wilcox Company Commercial Nuclear Fuel Plant over the past few years as requested in Reference 2 above, and find that the original target date of 10-31-80 for completion of the study will need to be extended to 2-28-81 to permit a more thorough review. While definite progress has been made toward identifying and correcting the behavior of these inventory differences, we believe the additional time will allow for proper identifica-tion and solution of the problem areas. Since we are rapidly approaching the October 31, 1980 target date, please let us know if this revised schedule does not meet your timing needs. Thank you.
