This refers to your October 31, 1980 letter, revising the July 28 request, for approval of routes involving the shipment of spent fuel from West Jefferson, Ohio, te cleasanton, California.
The review of licensee route,tpproval requests is subject to the Commission's license fee schedule in 10 CFR 170.
For materials licenses, fees for the revew o# route approval requests will be assessed under Category 13 of Section 170.31, as special projects. In accordance with Footnote 8 of Section 170.31, the charge is based on the professional manpower required to conduct the review.
In determining the fee, only actual staff time expended in the review of the route request is used to calculate the fee; the route (field) survey conducted by the NRC staff is excluded from fee computation.
When the approval has been issued, we will nott fy you of the fee due. If you have any questions, please contact us.
