Dear f1s. Dempsey:
This is in response to your two letters to me t>oth dated flovember ll,1980.
In the first letter of the two letters you requested copies of three contractor reports which were identified by me in a letter to the Licensing Boird dated August 6, 1980. As I pointed out to you during our telephone conversation on tiovember 17, 1980, I previously forwarded you copies of the requested reports with my letter to you dated September 8,1980.
Your second letter referenced 1.. -ion 13.4.2.2 of the Shoreham FSAR relative to the requirement of a fiuclear r, view Board.
You then inquired as to whether I had any infonnation regarding,ocal nunicipalities' (or County) post-license participation in a group such c' the fluclear Review Board in any of the cur-rently operating nuclear pla its.
Subsequent to receipt of your letter, I asked Jerry llilson to conduct an infonnal survey of flRR in order to reply t.o your inquiry.
Jerry tells me that on flovember 18, 1980, he had some preliminary discussions regarding this subject during the course of a tele-phone conversation with Marc Goldsmith.
On that same day I apprised Tony Earley of your inquiry during the course of a telephone conversation.
It seems to me that the general subject you have raised would be app > opriate for further discussion among the County, Staff e.nd Applicant at our next scheduled meeting on December 17, 1980.
In the interim, I will report coy results of Jerry's survey to you as they become available to me.
