Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (TMI-2)
Operating License No. DPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 MDHR Technical Specification Change Request During a discussion with Mr. Don Brinkman of your staff on Friday, August 22, 1980 concerning our requested change to the Technical Specifications prior to MDHR System operation, he requested further information concerning 480 Volt busses 2-38 and 2-48.
We had requested that they be removed from the Technical Specifications because they were no longer in use or no longer required because of the present plcnt configuration.
These electrical busses, 480 Volt busses 2-38 and 2-48, primarily serve the supplementary ventilation system that was installed on the roof of the Auxiliary Building after the TMI-2 accident in March, 1979. Prior to purge of the Reactor Building, in June 1980, the supplementary ventilation aystem was taken out of service because it was no longer required. Therefore, inclusion of these electrical busses in the TMI-2 Interim Recovery Technical Specifications is no longer required.
