This is to inform you, in accordance with the requirements of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, that.the NRC has not completed licensing action on your export license application XSNM01564 for low enriched uranium to Taiwan for use as reloads for the Kuo Sheng Nuclear Power Reactor Units 1 and 2.
Favorable Executive Branch views on this application were received by the NRC on June 16, 1979. The staff completed its review on this case and on July 28 forwarded a recomendation to the Commission that the export be approved. We expect final Commission action on this application in the near future.
