Dear Mr. Engelken:
Pursuant to discussions with members of your staff (Phil Johnson), we would like to update our previous responae of June 3, 1980 to IE Bul-letin 80-08 dealing with Containment penetration welds. At the time of our response, we were missing documentation for 11 Containment penetra-tions.
Unfortunately, we are still unable to locate the inspection and i
repair documentation for these 11 welds. Various independent checks have indicated to us that all of the Containment penetration welds were properly radiographed initially upon their completion. However, since we are still missing documentation for 11 of those penetrations, we propose to reradiograph those welds at our next refueling outage, the Cycle 4 refueling outage, currently scheduled for the spring of 1981.
