As agreed in the Reference (2) telephone conversation, cade in response to the Reference (3) letter, Texas Instru=ents, Inc., HFIR Project, hereby withdraws the license renewal applica-

tion submitted under Reference (4) and requests extension of the existing license for HFIR until termination of the HFIR opera-tion.
We anticipate that production operations will cease about December 31, 1981 and we estimate that deco==issioning will require approximately six months.
Mr. Robert Schwensfeir of our staff will contact Mr. Norman Ketzlach of your staff early next week to discuss the details of the license extension.
