JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT - UNIT 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS In your letter of August 15, 1980 to all Westinghouse Pressurized Water Reactor Licensees, you requested a review of Technical Specifications and procedures for the necessary revisions to assure that exposure of fuel assemblies and control rods could not occur during transfer while the plant is in MODE 6.

During the week of August 25, 1980, Alabama Power Company and NRC Staff personnel reached agreement on the Farley Unit 2 Technical Specifications.

The Farley Unit 2 Technical Specifications addresses the concerns of Westinghouse Standard Technical Specifications 3.9.8.2 and 3.9.10.

Alabama Power Company requests that the Unit 1 Technical Speci-fications remain unchanged until after receipt of the Farley Unit 2 full power license.
