The containment charcoal filter (filter bank No. RV032 and RV033) shall be tested for leakage ef ficiency at least once every 12 to 18 months, normally during a refueling shut-down using an inplace Freon-ll2 (or equivalent) test method.

Removal of 99.0% of the Freon-ll2 (or equivalent) shall consistute acceptable 'per-formance. A carbon sample shall be removed f;am one of the filter banks once every year and subjected to a chemical analysis to determine the iodine removal capability. Verification of an elemental iodine removal ef ficiency of 99.0%

shall constitute acceptable performance.
