Enclosed please find a letter from General Electric Company requesting an amendment to export license XSNM01540 to increase the quantity of material authorized for export by an additional 2.0 kilograms uranium enriched to 11 w/o maximum for ese in Taiwan.

Before taking action on this license amendment request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, at to whether the proposed export meets the applicable criteria in the Atoric Energy Act of 1954 as amended by the Nuclear Nonproliferatdon Act of 1978.
