Enclosed for your information is the ninety (90) day response to I&E Bulletin 79-01B, Environmental Qualification of Class 1E Equipment, for components in the Bechtel scope of supply. This response includes the following: - Summary of Outstanding Items - Summary of Equipment with less than 40 Year Aging Qualification - Hatch 1 Ninety (90) Day Report - Eatch 2 Ninety (90) Day Report We intend to provide an update on the status of the ongoing qualification efforts for the outstanding items identified. This will be provided on a three (3) month minimum basis as the information is supplied by Bechtel.

For equipment with less than forty (40) year aging qualification, replacement and/or maintenance requirements will be developed by the AE for the applicable components based on their acutal aging temperatures.

The information will be forwarded to the field to ensure incorporation into their replacement / maintenance schedule.

The Component Evaluation Work Sheets presently show equipment qualification based on comparison of the environment data vs. applicable test or analysis data. The work sheets will be reviewed to provide comparison information between the qualification and the D0R guidelines in the bulletin.
