Dear Members of the Board:
On August 14, 1980, Applicant (General Electric Company) filed a " Motion to Compel Discovery Against Rorem, Et A1.," based upon the apparent failure of Rorem, et al. to respond to Applicant's discovery requests dated August 4, 1980. On August 14, 1980, the NRC Staff filed a similar motion, " Staff's Motion for Order Compelling Rorem, et al. to Respond to NRC Staff Interrogatories and Request for Production of Documents." By this letter, we inform the Board that the Staff does not intend to submit a response to Applicant's motion.
