NOTICE OF TAKING DEPOSITION TO ALL PARTIES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNSEL, TO THE DEPONENT IDENTIFIED BELOW, AND TO MARSHALL E. MILLER, CHAIRMAN, ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to 10 C.F.R. 52.740a, the NRC Staff will take the deposition of Bart W. Shackelford, President of Pacific Gas and Electric Company ("PG&E"), at PG&E's offices located at 77 Beale Street, San Francisco, California, in a room on the 31st floor to be deterr.ined, on October 23, 1980 commencing at 9:00 a.m. and continuing from day to day until completed. The deponent will be examined with respect to his own and PG&E's policies, practices, and procedures regarding: (1) document filing, storage, retention, and destruction; (2) the pro / Jction of documents during the discovery phase of litigation, including but not limited to this pro-ceeding and the Department of Justice's Civil Investigative Demand No.1562; and (3) his request, on or about January 27, 1976, for suggestions for avoiding the generation of documents which could prove detrimental to PG&E, including but not limited to responses to that request as well as the implementation, if any, of any of the suggestions.
