COMMISSIONER HENDEIE:
I will ask, if you please, 3
g the members of the audience to corner the people you want to 4
talk to in the hall, or at least talk quietly.
We are going 5 to try to do an affirmation session.
Thank you.
An 6 affirmation by the Commission.
7 Let's go ahead and cove to the affirmation 8 session.
First of all, we a re removing from an affirming 9 vote this afternoon the paper SECY-80-300, Physical 10 Protection of Category II Material in Transit.
It was 11 marked tentative, and it is going back to the Commissioners' 12 offices for some further consideration.
13 We vill deal with Item B on the schedule in a
\\
14 minute, and before we do that, just to make sure I don't 15 forget it, there is an Item C which we would like to add 16 this afternoon.
It cuncerns a procedural assistanc? in the l'7 TMI I restart proceeding.
18 The paper is SECY-A-80-119.
Since it is a new 19 addition to the schedule, I need an affirmative vcte to hold 20 the affirmation session on that additional item on less than 21 one week's notice.
22 I will ask you to join me in voting aye to a short 23 notice meeting.

5 Commissioner Gilinsky, the Acting Chairman Hendrie, Chairman 6 Ahearne, if he were here, have voted to deny the appeal.
7 Commissioner Bradford dissents.
8 Will you please affirm your votes as I have 9 5utlined them?
10 (A chorus of ayes.)
11 MR. CHILK:
The second one is A-80-119, 12 certification from the licensing board in TMI restart 13 proceeding, concerning procedural assistance to intervenors,
)
14 in which the Acting Chairman Hendrie, Commissioner Cflinsky, 15 and Com=issioner Bradford have approved a memorandum and 16 order authorizing 31 censing board in the TMI restart 17 proceeding to provide certain procedural assistance in this 18 proceeding.
19 Chairman Ahearne was not available to participate, 20 but his office has no objection to the affirmation.
There 21 was a slight change, not a substantive change, made on Page 22 3 of the order, which has been coordinated with each of your 23 offices.
24 I woul? ssk you to affirm your votes.
