l A meeting involving Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Duquesne Light Company and Mr. McBrearty, of Region I, was held at the Westinghouse Research Center on June 20, 1980. A demonstration of acoustic velocity and attenuation was performed on specimens which included SA-216 Heat No.

4852, SA-533 Heat NO. D1691-2 and SA-508 Heat No. 6027. At the conclusion of the demonstration, Mr. McBrearty agreed that there was not a significant difference in the acoustical properties of the materials.

We, therefore, plan to continue to utilize the existing procedures and calibration blocks in the future conduct of the inservice inspection I

program at the Beaver Valley Power Station.
