Dear Sir:

Areas designated as " Safe Havens" were included in your route approval for the shipment of spent Fort St. Vrain reactor fuel to the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant. In this regard, we request that the Tri-State Motor Transit Terminal in Pocatello, Idaho, also be designated as a Safe Haven.

The Tri-State terminal has the following qualifications:

1.

Large, well lit parking area.

2.

Close proximity to Idaho State Police.

3.

Driver familiarity with the facility.

4.

Telephone communicat.ons available.

5.

Assurance of fuel a' ailability.

A map of the terminal location is attached for reference. Your prompt attention to this request is appreciated.
