7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION DOCKET N0. 50-293 BOSTON EDISON COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued Amendment No. 41 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-35, issued to Boston Edison Company (the licensee), which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Unit No.1 (the facility) located near Plymouth, Massachusetts. The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
This amendment changes the Technical Specifications to make provisions for fiultiple Control Rod Removal during Refueling Operations.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and require-ments of the Atenic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Co.1 mission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Comission has determined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental imoact and that pursuant to 10 CFR Section 51.5(d)(4), an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared ir, connection with issuance of the amendnent.
