August 15, 1980 Mr James G Keppler Office of Inspection and Enforcement Region III US Nuclear Regulatory Cor:nission T99 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 DCCKET 50-155 - LICENSE DPR BIG ROCK POINT PLANT - RESPONSE TO IE BULLETIN NO 80 FAILURES OF WESTINGHOUSE TYPE W-2 SPRING RETURN TO NEUTRAL CONTROL SWITCHES IE Eulletin No 80-20, dated July 31, 1980, " Failures of Westinghouse Ty e W-2 Spring Return to Neutral Control Switches" requested a determination of whether or not the subject switches are used in safety related applications.
Consumers Power Company has reviewed plant records and finds that no Westing-house Type W-2 control switches are in use at Big Rock Point. Therefore, no additional action pursuant to IE Bulletin Ho 80-20 vill be taken.
