On July 11, 1980 Georgia Power Company verbally advised the NRC of a potential deficiency concerning the vertical rebar in nuclear service cooling water tower 1A. This letter is to advise that our evaluation is not completed and that Georgia Power Company will submit a final report to the NRC on or before August 29, 1980.

This response contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Docunent Room upon receipt.
