PEACH BCffTOM ATOMIC POWER STATIM NARRATIVE SUMMARI 0F OPERATING EXPERTINCES JULY, 1980 WIT 2 OPERATIONS The outage begun on March 21 continues. During the month, reloading of the fuel was completed; the reactor vessel was reassabled and hydro tested; suppression pool (torus) recoating was completed and the voltane refilled; and the primary containment Integrated Imak P. ate Test was successfully completed. WLth the reactor veseel held at 1000 lbs. during the hydro test, the 2 pump CRD flow test to justify CRD Return Cut and Cap with no reroute was ccepleted successfully.

Preparations are continu:Ing for startup of the unit.

[ NIT 3 OPERATIGS The unit operated at rated power for the All month except for a load drop to 700 MWe on July 5th for a control rod pattern adjustment. Rated power was again achieved early on July 6th. During the month, testing required by IE Bulletin 80-17 was perfomed with the exception of the re tuosted scram tests which have been deferred unt u scue time in August.

k a result of the work perfomed in response to IE Bulletin 80-17 it wr : discovered that 250 VDC coils had been used instead of 125 VDC coils or. the non-safety grade back up scram valves. These coils were replaced won the unit on the line.
