MEDIA INTEREST IN SECURITY CRILL As a result of security related drill at 12:32 p.m., August 5, 1980, and inadequate planning by licensee, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Depart::ent responded to what they believed to be an actual security occurrence by dispatching patrol cars to the site in accordance with current resconse requirements.
As a result of a press inquiry, Regicn V centacted the licensee approximately 3:00 p.m., PDT, 3/5/80.
It is possible that a story citing this event may appear in the news rnedia.
No press release is planned by the licensee or Region V.
NRC Operations Center was notified at 4:29 p.m., PDT, 8/5/SO.
Tnis Preliminary Notification is being issued only to alert the Corm:ission of the possibility of publicity since there is no safeguards concern and no furtner action by IE is anticipated.
