Dear Mr. Denton:

This is in response to the NRC letter dated March 25,1981, R.L.

Tedesco to E. A. Borgmann requesting additional information to Supplement Table 3.2-1 of the FSAR.

The table will be revised as noted in the two copies of the attach-ment to this letter with the following comments:

1.) CG&E has defined "Q List" as the list containing all safety-related structures, systams and com-ponents controlled by the QA program. This defin-ition is consistent with Regulatory Guide 1.70.

2.) Safety-related has been defined to mean those structures, systems and components necessary to meet any or all of the following:

A.) Maintain the integrity of the reactor coolant pressure boundary.

B.) Provide the capability to shutdown t.ie reactor and maintain it in a safe shutdown condition, or C.) Provide the capability to prevent or mitigate the consequences of accidents that could re-i sult in potential offsite exposures comparable -

to the guideline exposures of 10CFR100.

systems and components. Any items which are not safety-related structures, systems or components will not be added to the list.

E.) Many of the items requested to be added currently exist in table 3.2-1 of the Zimmer FSAR.
