LICENSING REVIEW VISIT TO TVA BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT I visited the BFNP site on March 18 and 19,1981 with our technical assistance contractor (SAI) personnel to conduct part of the licensing review of onsite' low-level radwaste storage at BFNP. The principal purposes of this visit i

TVA's application, and to obtain supporting information on the bases for

the results of calculations made and conclusions reached by TVA.

TVA provided the personnel familiar with the project who could explain it, t
answer questions and furnish most of the additional informatioa requested.
1 The visit was successful in that only a few items of the many brought up
\\
l remained unresolved at the conclusion. These celate to assurance of con-l tainer integrity and retreivability, measurement of airborne radioactivity l
in the modules, and crane / truck movement practices. A formal request to TVA for infomation on the items is likely.
