)

Docket Nos. 50-327 Tennessee Valley Authority

)

50-328 TVA has myiewed the fim protection mquirements of to CFR 50 Appendix R for application to Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. Based upon an approved Safety Evaluation Report, it is concluded that only Parts III.G (Fire Protection of Safe Shutdown Capacity), III.J (Emergency Lighting), and III.0 (011 Collection System for Reactor Coolant Pumps) could be considered as applicable additional requirements. The NRC review of the Sequoyah Fire Protection Program included these areas and concluded that the revised designs for the Safe Shutdown Capacity, Energency Lighting, and RCP Oil Collection System were acceptable. Therefore, TVA considers that no modifications are required at Sequoyah as a result of Appendix R.
