Dear Mr. Cashman:
I have enclosed'a copy of the Union Carbide request for an amendment to License No. SNM-639, dated June 2,1980. The request concerns their uranium waste fann processing at the Tuxedo, New York plant. An identical copy of the enclosure was given to Mr. Lester Schuster of the State of New York Department of Labor during my recent site visit on December 10 and 11.
I shall be in further contact with you and others in the state concerning the renewal of the license and emergency planning.
