SUBJECT:
PROPOSED LICENSE TO EXPORT NUCLEAR COMPONENTS TO THE UNITED KINGDOM (XCOM0486)
On January 26, 1981 Westinghouse Electric Corporation filed an application to export Zirconium - 4 tubes to a laboratory in England for testing purposes.
Westinghouse has requested expeditious processing of this export license application as the components are ready for immediate shipment and are urgently required by the customer.
The staff has concluded that the proposed 3xport meets the requirements of the Atomic Energy Act, as amended, and wouii not be inimical to the common defense and security of the United States.
In view of the above considerations, the staff issued this license without the nonnal 15-day waiting period.
