Dear Comissioner Ahearne:
We are all aware of the concern over the accident at Three Mile Island in 1979. To me, however, it appears that there is an unnecessary delay in the restart of the undamaged unit TMI #1.
This delay has produced hardships and useless exper.ses for customers, stockholders and the utility itself.
In a country where thousands are killed annually by automobiles and hand guns and there has been no known death from nuclear energy accidents, it seems that your caution is un-founded.
